Blank Stare Productions President John Derevlany has created or developed numerous television shows, including Jim Henson's Animal Jam (Discovery Kids), Gerald McBoing Boing (Cartoon Network/Teletoons), Monster Buster Club (TF1/Disney XD), and Wayside (Nickelodeon/Teletoons). He has also worked as a writer or story editor on more than 80 TV shows, including Kick Buttowksi (Disney XD - story editor), Johnny Test (Cartoon Network - writer), and the upcoming Rob Dyrdek animated show Wild Grinders (Nicktoons - writer).

2011-12 TV pilot and development projects include "Endangered Species" and "Winston Steinberger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong" for Teletoons, "Roy In The Clouds" for Access TV (Alberta), "Skinner Boys" for Super RTL (Germany), "Atomic Puppet" (Mercury Filmworks/Technicolor), and "Lexi L8R", a live-action television show that is simultaneously "broadcast" to viewers via SMS (text) messaging. Derevlany is also working on a top-secret, TV, transmedia, and toy project for Lego, slated to debut in 2013.

Derevlany won a Writers Guild Award for the news parody show "This Just In" (ABC), and was nominated for an Emmy for his work on Michael Moore's "TV Nation," where he also played "Crackers the Corporate Crime-Fighting Chicken." "Leftovers," the short film he wrote and directed, has won numerous festival awards, while his latest directing effort, "Snot Bubble Boy," was nominated for Best Animated Film at the 2011 LA Comedy Fest.

Based in the Los Angeles area, Derevlany is a duel US-Canadian citizen who specializes in developing international co-productions, primarily for the youth market.
